Main contractor

Flexible project- and business system for main contractors within the construction industry.

Overview

All administration gathered in ONE place

The construction workflow is complex as it involves a variety of different sub-tasks and numerous involved professional roles. Different clients and projects come with varying conditions. In addition, there are significant demands for documentation. Ensure that you choose a solution that supports your working methods both today and tomorrow.

Below are the overarching functions in the Next platform used by construction companies. The breadth of Next allows for a significant part of the project administration to be consolidated in one place. This simplifies and significantly streamlines the work.

  • documentation support
  • control over the project/project management/roles
  • project permissions
  • purchasing and purchase planning (beta)
  • project economy/monitoring
  • budget/forecast/progressive profit recognition
  • time reporting and approval
  • deviations – questions/answers
  • change order management
  • health, safety, environment and quality support/self-inspections
  • supplier invoice management/cost allocation
  • integrations with finance/payroll
  • mobility/cloud
  • portal/share information collaboratively
  • invoicing.

Project economy

In large-scale construction, cost control, budget monitoring, and efficient change order management are of very high priority. If you have worked at any of the nationwide construction companies, you will recognize this. The forecast module in Next follows exactly the principles of reconciliation, forecasting, and connection to progressive profit recognition that are standard in the industry.
Import capabilities from the calculation programs BidCon, MAP, and Wikells combined with integration with the finance system mean minimal manual work and continuous updating of the project economy in the background. Supplier invoices also automatically find their way to the correct project in Next without any manual handling.
Through Next mobile client, you receive registered hours daily, allowing you to reconcile budgeted hours with actual outcomes in real-time.

Purchasing and purchase planning

In Next, you can manage the entire purchasing process from tender to completed project. The purchasing module also supports document management. You can, for example, create tender templates with an auto-fill function to easily distribute tenders to suppliers.

Documentation, HSEQ, inspections, and self-inspections

If you are certified according to BF9K, Povel, or another ISO-based system, you will find full support for managing document templates including the ability to fill project documents with information from the project. Documents and checklists can be made available on mobile or shared to a portal for external actors such as clients, subcontractors, consultants, or suppliers.

Diary and change order management

Diary and change order management follow the industry’s standard routines for reporting to the client. The diary can be kept on a mobile device and easily supplemented with photos taken on-site.

Regular project functions

In addition to the specific functions listed above for fixed-price construction, Next of course meets all the basic requirements you should expect from a professional project and business system. You will find functions such as project and order management, complete integration with finance and payroll, time reporting and recorded hours, supplier invoices, costs, revenues, customer invoices, documentation, resource planning, schedule, etc.

Next & Byggsamordnaren

At the turn of the year 2019/2020, Next merged with Byggsamrverkan, which has the project management system Byggsamordnaren. Byggsamordnaren is widely used among construction companies in Sweden, with about 1300 companies using the system today, and it has been the industry standard for a long time. Together, we are a leading supplier to larger construction companies.
