Thage

Thage houses the construction contracting and construction service operations, with specialist departments in everything from interior carpentry to concrete and drilling. Today, the construction company runs its entire production process in Next – from pure calculation projects to larger contracting projects. It includes everything from budget, purchasing, time reporting, invoicing and the all-important forecasting.

“In the long term, I am convinced that switching to Next Project will provide not only savings in terms of time and money, but also increased efficiency. Upon implementing Next Project, we found that we were no longer bogged down in admin and data management. We suddenly found time to work on the right things instead. Everything flows much more smoothly than it did previously.”

What was your reason for seeking out project management software?

Like most others in our industry, we have had the help of systems for digital project management for many years. The tool we used has more or less been the industry standard since the 90s, but is based on old technology and a client-server solution that is not adapted to today’s requirements.

Before Thage decided on Next, they did a thorough analysis and looked at about ten different systems. This technology assessment initiative was in full swing by the time Sweden entered into a recession. Rather than abandon the project, we decided to persevere instead. We know that a new system that could improve our operational efficiency and reduce costs would provide us with a sizeable advantage over our competitors as soon as the recession ended.

During the analysis phase, it became clear that Next understood the complexity of companies like ours, which require system support for both contracting and construction service operations.

Which feature of Next Project do you feel has been the most helpful in your day-to-day?

The new system has enabled us to become more data-driven in the long run, and thus be able to control our production more proactively than reactively. We also love the time-saving measures, such as templates for new tasks.

How did you find the on-boarding process?

We were most impressed by Next’s understanding of the complexity of our companies our size. We had agile and attentive support through every step of the on-boarding process.
